Newsletter 5th February 2022
Greetings to you all.
I look forward to seeing some of you on Sunday morning either in person or on Zoom. The Zoom link for this is the one we have been using throughout but, for ease of reference, I paste it here:

Meeting ID: 865 8494 7084
Password: 729425 (edited)
Full details of the service can be found at the following link:
https://www.cambridgeunitarian.org/morning-service/
Until further notice, we ask that all those attending continue to wear a mask whilst on church premises.
If you are able, please consider volunteering to prepare the coffee or, if you are a musician, playing for hymns for the morning service. At the moment we have no volunteers after this coming Sunday . . . Please be in touch with me if you wish to volunteer.
I also attach below a pdf flyer bringing you the news that, in future, during December, January, February and March, we intend to use our hall for Sunday morning services on the second, third, fourth Sundays of the month. The rationale for this decision is covered in the flyer found at the end of this newsletter.
The next Wednesday Evening Conversation exploring the important Shin Buddhist text “The Tannisho” will take place on February 9th, beginning at 7.15 for 7.30pm and running until 9pm. For those interested in taking part there is now a #tannisho channel on this site so those taking part can share information/insights specifically about this text. The Zoom link can also be found on the #tannisho channel.
For those interested in reading my blog and/or listening to the associated podcast please follow the links found of the #ministers-blog-podcast-conversations channel.
Across Continents Coffee, February 26th, 3pm
A reminder that we have been invited to take part in an informal international social gathering which is being organised by the North Shore Unitarian Church in Deerfield, Illinois. The organisers plan to start the session with a moderated “fireside chat” panel discussion among the clerical staff and/or senior leadership of each congregation, followed by informal breakout conversations among everyone who joins. It is being held on Zoom on Saturday, February 26, 2022 starting at 15:00 (3 p.m.) UK local time (9:00 a.m. in Chicago) and will last for about 60-90 minutes. If you would like to take part please, by Saturday 18th February, may I have permission to send your your email address to send to the organisers so they can send out invitations to you directly?
Lastly, please remember that if you would like to speak with me during the week simply be in touch and we can arrange a suitable time to talk properly either by telephone, Zoom, at the church or on a walk around the greens of Cambridge.
With love and best wishes as always,
Andrew
