Greetings from the Cambridge Unitarian Church, 11th December 2021, a note about the legal requirement to wear a mask in church and plea to those who are not yet vaccinated to reconsider their decision
Greetings to you all,
The Sunday morning service of mindful mediation in the church starts at 10.30am promptly and will finish at approx 11.40am. As usual, it will be live-streamed on Zoom with a time of conversation following.
Due to the rapid spread of the new Omicron variant, as your minister and, therefore, as someone tasked to make sure the church is a safe and secure environment for all those attending face-to-face services, I now make a strong, personal, request that, for the time being anyway, each of you seriously considers taking a Lateral Flow Test before attending church on a Sunday morning.

Also, prompted by the distressing fact that I now have an anti-vaxxer member of my own family seriously ill in hospital with COVID-19, and because we have recently lost a member of the congregation to the virus, I make a plea to those of you who have not taken up the opportunity to get vaccinated to reconsider your decision as much as for your own safety and wellbeing as for the safety and wellbeing of others in the congregation.
The Zoom link for the service is the one we have been using throughout but, for ease of reference, I paste it here:

As most of you know we now have a church SLACK site that enables those who join it to be in touch with each other freely about church events, volunteering for the coffee and music rotas, etc., etc.. Think of it as a digital version of the church common room after the morning service. To join the church SLACK site please be in touch with me.
For those interested in reading my blog and/or listening to the associated podcast please follow the links below my signature here.
Lastly please remember that if you would like to speak with me during the week simply be in touch and we can arrange a suitable time to talk properly either by telephone, Zoom, at the church or on a walk around the greens of Cambridge.
With love and best wishes as always,
Andrew
