Weekly greetings from the Cambridge Unitarian Church, 20th November 2021
Greetings to you all,
The Sunday morning service in the church starts at 10.30am promptly and will finish at approx 11.40am. As usual it will be live-streamed on Zoom with a time of conversation following. For the time being please bring and wear a mask whilst inside the church premises.
Full details of service can be found at the following link:

The Zoom link for this is the one we have been using throughout but, for ease of reference, I paste it here:

As always we’re in need of volunteers for the coffee rota, to help with the music and to even, perhaps, to offer a five minute thought for the day. Please be in touch if you’d like to talk about doing any of these things.
The next Wednesday Evening Conversation will take place on Wednesday 1st December, 7.15 for 7.30pm until 9.00pm. We’ll be taking an initial look at the classic Shin Buddhist text “The Tannisho” and, along the way, exploring the connections it has with our own Universalist tradition. Further details and various links and texts can be found on the SLACK site. To join the church SLACK site please be in touch with me directly.
Here’s a message from Tal about a possible Christmas Day LunchFor anyone who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day, let us gather together in the warm Church Hall and eat a midday meal together. There will be no service in church that day (the main celebration will be the Christmas Eve Communion Service) but we will have Carols round the piano, followed by a festive lunch, listen to The Queen on the wireless at 3pm, and there will be the option to stay and watch a film in the afternoon. Please let me, Tal, know if you would like to come, and if you can help prepare the meal (especially someone to keep an eye on things in the kitchen while I am playing the piano for the Carols). Donations of vegetables, wine etc. would also be welcome – please ask me what is needed. This is all, obviously, subject to government Covid guidelines at the time, so may be subject to change or cancellation.
For those interested in reading my blog and/or listening to the associated podcast please follow the links below my signature here.
Lastly please remember that if you would like to speak with me during the week simply be in touch and we can arrange a suitable time to talk properly either by telephone, Zoom, at the church or on a walk around the greens of Cambridge.
With love and best wishes as always,
Andrew
